MLM Prospects That Build Your Business

There are all kinds of MLM prospects out there but only a few will actually help you to get your business to the level of money generating success you desire.  There is a difference between a lead and a prospect.  A lead is only a name on a list.  They may or may not be interested in your opportunity.  You don't really know until they raise their hand someway and show they want to learn more.  This could be taking your call when you do a cold call or it could be responding to one of your lead generation tactics.

Once a lead let's you know they have some interest you can move their name from the lead column to the prospect column.  Prospects are people who are at the second level of the signing procedure.  They want to know more and there is at least something that interests them.  Now is the time for you to determine if they are right for your business becasue just signing anyone is a recipe for disaster.  The more people you have does not relate to the more successful your business is.  It is only good business building people who will make you any money.  The others will just waste your time and cost you money.

During your first contact you want to spend the majority of the time learning about the network marketing prospect.  Ask him or her what they are looking for in a making money opportunity and then listen to their response.  If they are looking to build a business and work hard this is definately someone you should be interested.  If they talk a lot about getting rich but not anything about the business or work required to get there they probably won't end up doing what it takes to make it in the mlm business.

Ask them about their history and then listen.  If they have a lot of hard luck stories and no real successes then they probably aren't going to be successful with this other.  Everyone hits a few bumps in the road and this is not what I am talking about.  I am talking about the person who never has succeeded but always has a good excuse.  They always have someone to blame for their shortcomings.  These peole never take responsibility and learn form their mistakes so they never grow.  You can bet they won't be successful with your opportuntiy and they will blame you for the failure while they spend their evenings watching TV instead of builing up their lead list or contacting people.

Find out about their goals in life.  It is OK if they want to be rich but how do they plan to get there.  If their goal is to win the lottery then they won't do what is necessary to build a business.  They want to get rich quick and strike it big but they think that is something that happens to them not something they make happen.

Having the propect sell you on their abilities and potentials is just as important as you selling the prospective member on your plan.  At this stage, determining whether the person is a good fit for your business can save both of you countless hours of headaches later on.

Where To Find MLM Prospects

A MLM prospect is someone who has expressed an interest in knowing more about your network marketing opportunity.  So to find them you want to look for the people on your list who seem most interested.  If a contact tells you their friend wants to hear about your business this person turns into a prospect from a lead.  Prospects are golden becasue they are already part way sold on joining an organization they just don't know which one yet.  It is your job now to convince them of the merits of your program.  Then you can decide if they are right for you or not.

It is much better having several people to choose from when building your downline that it is scraping to get one or two people signed a month who don't really end up doing anything anyway.
