Network Marketing Lead Generation Tips

The life blood of any effective network marketing business is lead generation and converting those leads to product members of your organization.  You will never make big money in this business going door to door selling soap or vitamins or cosmetics.  The people who make it big in multi-level or network marketing are the ones who treat it like a business and understand that you must attract and sign people who will walk the walk necessarty to explode your profits.

Before we go any further you need to understand that this is a numbers game.  That means the more people you talk to the more people you will have success with.  Working a numbers game means you will have a lot of rejection. That is a good thing.  Everytime someone says no you are that much closer to getting to someone who will say yes. 

Welcome rejection because it will lead to success.

Let's look at a few things you don't want to do if you are trying to build an effective and profit centered network marketing business.

• Don't waste your time going to coffee shops.  You kill yourself driving all over kingdom come for one on one meetings that half the time the other person never shows up for any way.  Don't do that.
• Stay away from group meetings.  These are nothing but a big waste of time.  Instead of spending a few hours sitting in a meeting or shooting the breeze afterward, spend the time developing a new opportunity flyer.
• Stop handing out a bunch of company sales material.  This stuff never converts and all it does is cost you money. The more money you spend on these promotions the deeper you are in the hole before you can show a profit.
• Hard selling all your family and friends.  The hard sell rarely works and after you don't have any friends left you will quit before even getting started.

These are all things that rookie MLM people do and they rarely help to build a viable network marketing business.

Here are a few things you can do to really improve your chances of success in this business.  You need to think about new ways of finding people who are interested in making extra money and are not just looking to win the lottery.

• Develop Internet Marketing Skills.  The Internet is becoming the place for people to research and learn about what interests them.  If they search for ways to make extra money wouldn't it be great if your name came up.  You can become well known on the web for your area if you start a blog and then practice article writing, commenting on other blogs, and guest posting on other people's web sites.
• Become an expert so you can use that in your tag.  Becoming an expert is not hard and it makes your initial sales pitch that more convincing.  Write ten articles about a particular area you are interested and have them posted on article directories.  You instantly become a published author and it doesn't cost you a cent.
• Develop phone skills.  Nobody likes to make cold calls and nobody likes to receive them.  But everyone likes to talk to friends because their friends are interested in them.  Once a person has shown an interest in knowing more about your business talk to them like a friend before you go into your pitch.  Find out about them and their lives.  People like it when other people show an interest in what they are doing.  As an added side benefit, you may develop a new friendship.

These are just a few of the things you can improve to make your network marketing experience more interesting and lucrative.
