It seems almost every body I talk to now is looking for a way to make money and alot of them are looking at online business opportunities.  I heard the internet described as the new gold rush the other day.  Like the old west, the internet is wide open and waiting for people to stake their claim.  There has been such phenomenal growth in the web the last 15 years that most people think it can't be sustained.  I think they are wrong.  I don't believe we have seen event he beginning of what can be done on the web.

Just like the old prospectors, some one interested in starting an online business need a dream.  It is not a get rich quick scheme but it can pay off handsomely for the people who work it.  Now with all the free blogging software it costs nothing to get a sight up and making money.  The prospectors had to buy picks and shovels but all you need is an idea and the willingness to do hard work.

The world is changing quickly and one way to help with your making money endeavers is to find good online business opportunities and then work your tail off to make them succeed.  A great internet marketer in Canada has said that making money online is really easy it is just that people don't want to do the work necessary in order to find success.  It is not hard but it takes a lot of time and a lot of work to make any money.  If you are serious about an online business you need to start right now checking out different opportunties that are offered.  Find out what seems right for you and then research it some more.  There is a lot of good information that can be had for just the click on an ad or website listing.

I am sure will be different than these staticstics but on average 95% of people who try to make money online never succeed and 98% never make $100.  This seems like really bad odds but they really aren't if you think about it.  Most people think the internet is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  They figure all they have to do is put up a website or blog and riches will instantly flow to them.  This is just not the case.  Like any real business finding success on the web requries that you put in effort.  Your efforts will be rewarded but you have to apply them to your business first.

The key to any online activity is to get visitors, or traffic, to your site.  If nobody ever sees your site they will never be able to even make the decison on whether or not they want to buy what ever it is you are selling.  Traffic is the life blood of internet commerce.  Without traffic a site is worth absolutely nothing.

There are two main ways to get traffic to a web site.  You can either buy traffic by purchasing ads from Google Adwords.  Or you can get traffic from the search engines when people search for a word that is related to what is on your site.  There are a few other methods like advertising your website in newspapers, on TV, on billboards, or on the radio.  These can work but it is very expensive and really have to know what you are doing so you don't spend more money on advertising than you get in revenue.

Traffic Tricks For Online Business Opportunities

As I stated above the two main ways to get visitors to your site is to buy it or to get the search engines to send traffic when people search on a word that relates to what you have on your web site.  Both of these work really well when you learn how to use them.  I wouldn't say that one is better than the other but either one takes quit a bit of learning to get good at.

The first traffic method, buying it, is usually accomplished with Google Adwords.  In this program you purchase small ads that are either shown on the search results page when some one searches for a term, or the ads are shown on websites that are releated to the theme of the ad.  The way to make this work is to find out what people are searching for and then buy the ads that relate to that product or service.  For example, let's say people search for blue dogs about 10,000 times a day and they search for green dogs about 200 times a day.  You would want to try to structure your ads so that people interested in blue dogs would click on them.  Why?  Because there are so many more people searching for this term that your chances of getting people to your site are a lot greater.  The downside is that other internet marketers will know about this word so they will try to bid more for the ad than you pay.  This increases your cost.

The other method is to get your web site or blog listing at the top of the search engine pages when someone searches for a term that is related to your site.  You accomplish this by getting Google to understand what your site is about.  This is a study all it's own and is known as SEO or Search Engine Optimization.

Both of these methods work but they both require a lot of learning to be successful.  You wil need to learn one or the other if you are going to be successful with an online business opportunity.

Must admit Ive never tried adwords - never had the budget to blow to learn how to do it. It seems to be most programs favorite traffi tip to online busiesses opportunities maybe because it instantly delivers results?

I have always used various other forms for online marketing, but also never really used much of Adwords. However, Adwords is believed to be the fastest way to get the best targeted traffic for business opportunities. I think it is something that I will reconsider.

Do you know of any good programs that teach how to lower PPC costs with Adwords? Thanks
