Quick Ways To Make Money Plan

One of the best quick ways to make money is to have a garage sale or a yard sale.  In the US we have a tenendcy to accumulate stuff that really isn't very important to us.  In fact, almost everyone I know has a storage unit, usually at least 5' X 10', that is used only to store stuff.  It is usually things they don't use but they just can't stand to part with.  If you have stuff like this then a quick way to make some cash would be to buck up and realize you are probably not going to ever use it anyway so why not get some money for it.

There are some tricks to these types of sales that can really make a difference to your profitablility.  The first is promotion.  It is imperative that you get as many people as possible to your sale.  Most people won't find something to buy so the more people you get the better chance you have for making sales.

You can get flyers printed for less than 5 cents each at most quicky printing places.  Get a couple of dollars worth printed and then plaster them everywhere.  I see these signs on telephone poles a lot but make sure you check the local regulations.  The last thing you need it to pay a fine out your sale profits.  Other good places to put them are bulletin boards at grocery stores, hardware stores, laundries, and any other public notice area.  The more chances people have of seeing the flyers the more potential customers you will get.

Several local newspapers offer a service where they will list the yard sales or garage sales for that weekend.  The often times will do this for free as a service or at least it will be at a reduced price.  AM radio stations also usually have some sort of program that talks about up coming events and will mention your sale if you contact them.

The key to selfpromoting your sale is to get the word out to as many places as possible.  Everywhere you can think of that has people traffic is a potential place to promote your sale. The more people who know about it the more people who will come and hopefully buy stuff.

There are certain items that are a big draw to garage sales and yard sales.  Two of the most popular are tools and antiques.  Be sure to stress these on your flyers.

For some reason older men can not pass up a sale that has tools.  It must be some kind of a caveman/Mr. Fixit thing but for some reason they love to buy tools.  At auctions I have seen two farmers bid against each other until the value of the auction item was more than what you could buy a new one for.  Eventually one of the guys gave up and the other took his prize like he had just bargained for the Hope diamond.  Be sure you have some tools to sell.

Antiques work in well with tools because the old guys like to shop for tools while their wives love to sniff out bargain antiques.  Now one person's antique is another person's old junk so don't be too worried about what an antique is.  Have some old dishes or furniture and you can be a potential antique dealer.

Both of these items are important to getting a lot of cutomers to your sale so be sure to list both on your flyers.
